I have always been a waffle person, waffle over pancakes anytime of the day. If your café serves waffles, you have already won half of my heart, the remaining half of course depends on the preparation, taste and display of your food. In my list of ‘Cafés to visit in the West’, Revelry tops the list.

Chicken & Waffles ($16) - No fancy plating, this simple dish comes with freshly toasted waffle, topped with lettuce and crispy fried chicken thigh and a separate serving of maple syrup. This is easily one of the classic comfort food.

The Full Band ($16) - Breakfast lovers would surely enjoy this American breakfast set! Instead of the usually toast, muffin or pancakes, Revelry serves the American breakfast with their signature Belgium waffles along with grilled Bratwurst sausage, bacon, sautéed mushroom, grilled tomatoes and scrambled eggs.

Download the Holler Out app from App Store/Play Store, quote "Adelinesays" and get to enjoy 10% off with a minimum spending of $30 when you dine at Revelry!

Having lived in the north-east area all my life, it is delightful to watch more and more cafés setting up here. The joy of having more hippie food places within convenient travel distances is definitely good news. Located near Kovan Mrt, Lola Café is one of my favourite brunch places to patronise and I happen to be acquaintance with one of the partners. He is often spotted behind the counter brewing orders of coffee, creating your Instagram worthy coffee arts.

Their wide variety of food choices with satisfying portions are the reasons I keep returning, and these are the orders I never fail to make when I'm there.

Avocado Eggs Benedict ($14) - One thick toasted slice of Brioche bread stacked with pork ham, avocado slices, perfectly done poached egg and topped with Hollandaise sauce, mesclun and lemon dressing. Give the poached egg a gentle poke and watch the runny yolk spread across the dish and get soaked into the bread.

Aren’t you already drooling? I am!

If you’re there with a group of friends, the Honey Paprika Crispy Wings ($10) and Truffle Fries ($12) make really good chit-chat bites. Coated with honey, their paprika wings give your tastebuds an excellent blend of sweet, salty and crispiness that leaves you wanting more.
